This doesn’t spell what OC apparently fears: luxury obligations for indigent people. As intelligent beings, we are capable of managing the situation within feasible boundaries.

An example of how dumb and dangerous the Democratic Socialists are specifically on the issue of the homeless in L.A
They were literally protesting against the shutting down of the encampment described below .
For all the out of town advocates would you really be ok with this stuff going on in your neighborhood park ?
Out of town advocates talk a big game but we know if it was happening in their neighborhood they would not want it .

They'll need to be housed so they can pursue an education and/or a job. Not cheap. They'll need to be fed and have access to rehab centers and medical facilities. Also not cheap.
You don't want the homeless to have any of those things because it costs too much, yet you complain when they can't find a job and be self sufficient.

And there is also usually a community of the same immigrants that are already established here who will help the newcomers.
