Yes $9000 a month is a good salary, enough to rent an apartment in a good area, say your one bedroom apartment is $1900 a month, your car payment is $200, cell phone is $150. That would leave you about $6000 for everything else, groceries, savings, or other spendings.

For one person yes that is not bad at all, not rich but you know what I mean. For a 2 bedroom in Beverly Hills they can vary from $1700 to $3500.
'
For one person that is, not an entire family unless they are making their own incomes.

Don't forget after taxes.

Still, it's plenty for one or two people.

To get an apartment in the hood, yes it's enough.

Its OK for now but with the Democrats constantly raising taxes in a short time it you'l be poverty striken.

That is a $hit ton of money, are you kidding? Even after taxes, that's a good salary. You could easily live in a nice one bedroom, drive a nice car AND have plenty of cash left over for savings, fun stuff, etc. The only way I could see that not being enough is if you live a very extravagant lifestyle (i.e. taking lots of expensive trips and paying full price for everything, going out a lot and buying drinks for people, etc.)

What do you do to make that much??

Agreed. I don't even believe this is a real question. LA isn't NYC or SF and even in those places I know people making half of that living there. Unless you're buying everything and have no idea how to take everything in in moderation then this is plenty. The fools saying it's ok, are funny (I mean that in a condescending way).
