I used to live in 91406; that was west Van Nuys (though it was still just "Van Nuys"). Luckily, changing the name to Lake Balboa didn't happen until long after I'd moved. :eyeroll: It's very pretentious; that area is still west Van Nuys and I'd never want to live there again!

Sherman Oaks has been steadily creeping north for years. I'm just waiting for the day when Van Nuys no longer supposedly exists, even though this is all nonsense.

KristinK105, you need an education in incorporated cities. Most of the San Fernando Valley is part of the City of Los Angeles, which is why our electric and water bills come from the Los Angles Dept. of Water and Power! In fact, that's always a good test of where you live; where do your utility bills come from?

i live fairly close to lake balboa (both the park and the neighborhood) and know a bunch of families that live there. changing the name to lake balboa seemed to work wonders for the area. in every direction except to the south, the neighboring communities to lake balboa are much less nice and property values are much lower. lake balboa is mostly well kept and much more diverse than say reseda or van nuys.
