So basically, I just finished college in Michigan and i'm now living in Elmont, NY. I don't really know anyone in the area so I was just curious to see what's the best way to meet people here, and what are some activities that I can do and things of that nature?

Default For things to do on Lawn Guyland ...

For things to do on Lawn Guyland, here are three sites that also offer weekly eMail newsletters: LongIsland.com, About Long Island NY and Life On Long Island; and, here's what could be the best site: Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission.

And, li4kids, is especially for the kinder.

I'd suggest starting with the civic association in your area. There are at least 3...maybe more...

Depending on which section of Elmont you live...There's the Parkhurst civic, the Alden civic and two others (I think)... The Alden civic meets the first Tuesday of each month at the Dutch Broadway Park (or I should saw pool given the water level of the sump now-a-days). Which street do you live on?
