"Best" is all a matter of opinion and preference.

Personally, I can't stand most of the high income areas on Long Island. They have gigantic properties and you can usually forget about being in walking distance to a store, train station, park, friend's houses or to other amenities. And can't forget about the lovely snooty and pretentious people (the few interactions you will likely have with others).

There's Town Hall North on Audrey Ave in Oyster Bay and Town Hall South on Hicksville Rd in Massapequa.
