Apparently when the suspects aren't white it's not newsworthy. I heard nothing on any news stations about this, not even Fios 1. I found out about it from this poster in a storefront.
This kind of stuff happens too often, yet its only reported on the rare occasion the perpetrator is white.
I guess illegals can do all the crime they want, the media doesn't care.

So Mayor still want to say we dont have a gang problem here in Westbury? The victim may have been an illegal as well, but he didn't deserve such a brutal death.

Where did you find out the victim's immigration status?

I said "may have", not is, so his status is unknown and doesn't matter. What does matter is that a man is dead because of illegal alien gang activity. MS-13 and Surenos tags are all over the place.

There are actually many crimes including murders that do not make the news. I am retired from the NYPD and have been to many murder crime scenes that were never mentioned on radio, television or the newspaper. I really do not know how they decide which stories are news worthy and which are not.

Nassau street is actually located in the Village of Westbury ( as opposed to the infamous hamlet of New Cassel). I also saw this on Newsday. It is very disturbing that a teen is just walking on the street and gets stabbed by a group of men. But there was no other information given ( is it an isolated incident, gang violence, or just an street fight gone too far?). What is the motivation?

1. This story was in Newsday several days ago.

2. You have no evidence that those involved were illegal yet you automatically label them as such

How come the media only reports kidnappings, when they involve little white kids? The media is a business, they report things that are good for their business? They report sensationalized stories, which will get viewers to their stations. Unfortunatley, a Hispanic teenager getting randomly killed is not very sensational.

It's obviously a gang attack. Murder is disturbing, but gang attacks in Hispanic areas shouldn't surprise anyone. It only makes big headlines when once every a year some knuckle dragging white kids get in on the action as in Patchogue.

He was not an immigrant, he was a US citizen and was a great kid. He was the nephew of a co-worker and friend of mine. He was not in a gang, he was a good kid.
