Current Topics on the LI Board:
"Will taxes go up on a house after I purchase it? "
"Cheapest Utilities "
"oh good god, the water on long island is contaminated above federal levels! take Quick showers, dont cook with it! (New York: 2013, university)"
"When to Finish Basement - Tax Question"
"Illegal apartment reported and I live here "

So what's the difference, seems the Westchester folks are not paranoid about their town representatives the way they are on LI other than that renovations & taxes seem common.

Nothing really. Pretty much flatlined.
Maybe some more growth in Suffolk, but other than that, I don't think much is going to change here. COL will continue to increase, jobs will come and go, nimby's will continue to stunt growth, which could be pos/neg depending on circumstances. Population will maintain with tons leaving and just as many coming in.
The country as a whole is going to collapse way before anything of significance +/- happens on or to LI.

That’s more a reflection of the crappy airports than road travel on Long Island.

Think of Westchester as one big Garden City, or Centre Island, etc...Catch my drift?

That’s both a testament to the Island’s resiliency and its resistance to move in a positive direction. It’s truly amazing that someplace with so much going for it hasn’t moved in either direction, and it’s been that way for so long.

Hey, at least you’re getting a year round surf park. Let’s see Westchester top that!

I had that when I was younger.
It was called a wetsuit.

There is no surfing in Westchester. Just water polo.

I wish I could find more flight options out of Islip.
