Hempstead overall isn't *that* bad.
There's a few really sketchy areas, like don't go there areas, but overall its fairly average burb.
The schools actually do suck. So that is definitely a deal breaker if kids are involved.
I don't fear for my life in Hempstead except on Terrace maybe.

There are more than just a few sketchy areas in Hempstead, it’s also the highest and one of the most densely populated areas in NY far from the “average burb”.

Hempstead residents seem to be flocking to that charter school on Franklin Ave. It seems to have tripled in size in the past 5 years. Seems the new population has found a way to skirt the corrupt district.
Why do you offer advice about a place you've never been to? Why are you even on this subforum? Everybody hates a tourist, especially who thinks it's all such a laugh. You mod star should be removed when you stray outside of the confines of NYC. Your barely disguised cosmopolitism and disdain for what you obviously perceive as the "white flight" suburbs of Long Island pervades every post you make. You're a low-info troll, and little more.
How do you know where I've been?
You posting this just proves my point more
The posts on here are ridiculous
Now that you got that off your chest......

Its really not
Most ppl in LI just moved from BK and QNS because they were scared of black and brown ppl
And they let the authorities play on their fears.
Result = you don't want your kids playing with Hakeem, then you'll pay for it.
Have fun with those $15K property tax bills.
It's ridiculous
I see so much racial innuendos on here, its disgusting
They call it trolling, I call it the truth.
Move to Maine

Talking that peasant talk.
