I really think I should make Belize happen.

Maybe. The Gulf coast of Texas is where I am looking, salt water fishing, beaches and woods with very little suburban sprawl.

What is your get out of NY exit plan ?

If you pick Belize you really need to be on Ambergris Cay. Nice but expensive in many ways.

I’ve already exited, and got paid to do so through a corporate relocation. Best option if you can swing it.

You wouldn’t last in those Mexican ghettos. I can just tell from your posts.

No but I’ve spent time there. I would definitely go there before getting too cosy with the idea.

I like the gulf coast of FL, so much better then the east coast that some describe as the southern tip of NY. Its sad cause too many NY people leave but bring their NY ways with them and ruin the new place.

I have done Florida. You don't need big living space like in places without winter cause you can be outside all day.

Florida is ruined.
It's "ok" if you're retired and live in a waiting to die community.
Also, keep in mind that the weather we have right now is every day in Florida.
It's oppressive. Depending where you go, it's 9-12 months of this weather.
