The "innovative" reference was not towards the actual tunnel. The reference was meant towards ideas of improvement for LI in general.

I think the more important takeaway here is that we should tell NIMBYs to screw off with their property value concerns for a change. At some point the greater good has to come before Joe Blow and his home's value. Sometimes you gotta take one for the team, that's life, suck it up and stop interfering with progress to serve your own self-interest.

Well i'm glad to read that you would take one for the team and have your slice of heaven devalued if it was for the greater good. But is this proposed project really the the one that's worth saying to hell with everyone we must have it?
