3-4pm LIRR at penn wasn't crowded. Midtown wasn't crowded but a lot of tourist wandering around.. I saw a lot of sparks popping and burning smell throughout the ride home. There are reports that the LIRR signal were starting to freeze. If temperature drops like a brick, this will spell trouble tomorrow and this weekend. So beware.
There is some decent snow buts it's light and fluffy. Easy to plow with my machine. I did my house and two of my elderly neighbors pretty quick. It was a bit windy so full face gear covered up .
some people don't know how to drive in snow. AWD/4WD isn't everything. I'll take a 2WD with snow tires over AWD/4WD anyday. One more hour here & think I'll call it day.
I think winter tires for our region is a waste. Having to store and swap tires twice a year is also a pain. For me I want as few touches to my rims as possible as they can easily get marred. The stuck vehicle was a CRV with only FWD and was trying to get to an elderly couple who told her that the street was plowed. Those scumbags! She was stuck here for 4 hours, and you're right, she didn't know how to drive in snow, which understandably isn't exactly a priority to learn for many people. You can imagine not everyone goes and does donuts in a parking lot during snowfall (fun stuff).
Anyway, there's not much you can do when the snow is up to your undercarriage. Which is why it was good that most people stayed home. They finally plowed at like 530pm. How'd you make out driving back home?
I found someone! He's coming around 7 pm. $150.00 sound pricy but for the amount I need done it's worth it. My driveway is easily 100 ft long
$150?! Hell, I'd of come done it for $100 if I knew you were willing to pay that much!
