Yeah that's what they are offering me now. Such a lousy number. These guys are getting greedy. Thinking about doing COD. I have new"ish" equipment I don't expect my heat to go out. How much are people paying for tuneups and how much is an average no heat service call?
And what kills me is they claim their costs have gone up with people working remotely and stuff. That should mean costs go down and if anything these guys have been difficult to deal with lately and tough to get in touch with in general. They should be offering discounts, not the other way around.
I'm kicking Petro's azz this year. Last year they kicked mine. Year before I kicked theirs. That's sort of how it goes. Negotiate hard and hope for the best. I need the service contract they offer that no one else will give me even for 3x the price. Everyone's situation is different. Factor service needs, the state of your equipment, # of zones and your annual average spend. At 10 cents a gallon savings, price may not be the only deciding factor for everyone. Just sayin.
Yearly cleaning, tune ups and filter changes are around $100-$125.

Why would anyone pay 25% more to Petro? that's $25 more per delivery? Is it because that price includes boiler service (but not repair) right?
how long does 100 gal last for a normal size home 1500-2000sqft with 3-4 people (now that most people work from home, usage should be more, but on average, would you expect 100 gallons to last 1 month to 45 days?

A lot of factor determines Oil consumption but monthly average would be 140 - 160 gallons for that size house.
Above ground tanks are 275 gallons and inground Oil tanks are 1000 gallons.

Inground varies. Mine was a 550 gallon fiberglass tank.
