Garden City went full day about 4-5 years ago for the money reasons described above. There was an outcry like you wouldn't believe (at school board meetings where they like to pretend that people of the district are being listened to).

Anyway - here we are a few years later and now everyone is sending their kids to the half day PRE-Ks in town that are a longer day than the kindergarten half day used to be. Amazing.

Jericho has full time K but no PreK. I know that Mineola also has full time K and lottery for Half-day preK
