^ I paid a little more with aeration and chemicals.

It depends on the size of the pool.

Is that 300 for pumping both the septic tank, cespool rings, aerating and chemicals added? Or just a pump?

No, I just have a cesspool but it did include chemicals. Figure the septic is going to add to the cost. Get it done, though, regular maintenance can save you a lot in the long term.

always extra to do the septic tank.

~300 usually one pool and 2,000 gal of pumping. Sometimes 3,000. Typically cost about $100-$200 for every 1,000 gal after that.

Aeration is good...but the chemicals are a waste of money. There is plenty of natural bacteria to do its job in the waste.

Do you have a cesspool or a septic system?

I would skip the chemicals....aerating can help but at some point you are throwing good money after bad and you need a new cesspool.
