Just to clear up somemisinformation I've read in this thread regarding fishing licenses and parking accessa a Green Island. You do not need a fishing licens to fish any tidal waters in NYS. you do need to register with the NYSDEC who will issue a certificate stating you are a registrered saltwater angler.

You do not need a 4x4 access permit to park at Green Island. You do need a NYS Night Fishing Permit. The 4x4 access permit can be used interchangeably as a night fishing permit.
