Since Long Island is known to be a great suburb for families with children, I am curious to know about the outlier demographic- namely single folks who have no children who still choose to live on Long Island.
1. What town/area do you live in?
2. What age bracket are you in?
3. What are the reasons that you choose to live on Long Island? Economic / Financial? Quiet environment?
4. Do you have an active social life on Long Island? Or do you find it to be dull? Do you know many similarly situated people on the island?

Not single, but most 20-30's are in Long Beach, Rockville Centre, and Huntington. They're here because of family and their job.
I am here mostly bc of friend's and family and proximity to the city. For the kind of work I do I can only work in NYC, Chicago or LA and neither my husband nor I want to live in the city.
I love it here. There is so much to do. I am never bored. There are so many great restaurants and bars. I love the wineries and beach, Montauk, Fire Island... Theres so much here you really cant find anywhere else.
Lived in Long Beach for a bunch of years but we're living elsewhere. We do want a family ine day and love what LI offers for children as well.
The people here rock too! Long Island is a great place to live.
My brother and I both left LI when we were single in our 20s w/no kids because LI is really no place to be single in your 20s with no kids. I only moved back because I got married and started trying to have a baby. I grew up in Oceanside.
Holbrook, 26-30, Work, Have no social on the island but loved the quiet and peacful town.
