Perhaps districts like Half Hollow Hills, Deer Park, much of Baldwin, North Babylon, Elwood, Harborfields, Manhasset and perhaps Farmingdale, among maybe some others seem to appeal to a range of people.
and where on LI do u live? manhasset....really? thanx for proving my point....about school districts routinely trashed here.
Ironically, water is the one utility that tends to be reasonable on LI. Perhaps it will even be more expensive for you when you get to SC. Seriously. Not kidding.

I am aware the KKK existed in the north but probably not as far as LI and def not to the extent of the south.
Look up the census data for those neighborhoods. I'm not even going to waste time posting it here. If that's to the extent of diversity that Long Island has, I've proved my point.

I say Long Island is awesome. That doesnt mean it's perfect. Awesome and perfect are 2 different things. Long Island could use changing in certain areas- so could everywhere else in the world. No city is going to be absolutely perfect.
Nobody said somewhere else is perfect. You have to understand that when you make a comment like people being the problem instead of Long Island being the problem, you're going to get the responses you did. Is Long Island a great place? Yes! Ive said multiple times that I'm glad I was raised on Long Island. Is it for everyone? No.

Ever think maybe the people who are telling you they love it in their new place could be fibbing a little? No one likes to think they are wrong and it is hard to admit when you are. Thats why maybe they could have told you "this new place is going to better." It is hard to admit to a friend or family member sometimes that what you thought isnt what happened. Or I can be wrong and they really do like it. No way of knowing though so thats really rather moot.
Now you're grasping at straws. I could say the same exact thing about people who claim to love being on Long Island.
In fact, the same could be said about a childless person telling families to stay on Long Island, no matter the cost. Telling them to cut back when they don't even know what it's like to have the financial burden of kids. Let me guess, those people shouldn't have had kids?
Syracuse, Long Island, New York ... but they won $500 so everything they write on CD must be true and correct, so don't argue!
What are you talking about? Manhasset has some diversity and is a good school district. It may not be Valley Stream South High, but still. I didn't say I knew everything either. So, take it easy.

I already pointed this out and she conveniently ignored it.
Answer my question first. I'm interested to know what the reasoning is.
I actually asked you first.
and my original point was any school district with any diversity regularly gets thrashed here. maybe you should do a search????
I went to college in upstate NY ...maybe I should start posting on that forum?
