None of the stations in my area are honoring this system presently. They're busy raising their prices.

I think they checked on day 1, and not since then. I got gas for one car last night, one this morning, no one is checking anything. Once again our awful leaders are way behind!

Honoring the is odd/even plate thing, just like any other rule is optional on LI. Just like how most LI'er think stop signs are optional.

Does anyone know if this applies to out-of-towners as well?

I have someone coming in tomorrow from PA, but she's got an "odd" plate and is concerned about not being able to get gas (only here for the day).

Thanks for your input!!

Yes it applies to out of towners. However if there are literally no lines around your area, most likely the attendants won't care.

Not sure where you are, but where I am, there are no lines at all and you're lucky if you see 2 cars in a station. They don't care.

You could also switch plates.

Dont even ask, just go to the station, no one is going to say anything much less even notice. Worst case play the dumb card and say as an out of towner you had no idea.
