I got quotes from 3 places...but I went with them because they included certain things in the estimate without being asked (like crating the mattresses). They came in $300 under their estimate which nice.
We have not yet moved but the quotes we got were very good from Men On the Move and we heard great things about them. Our move is delayed so please post once you do move.
The guy from Verity was so nice but his estimate was way higher than everyone else I had come in. He assured me there was no way anyone could actually move me for less than his quote; he was wrong - he would have cost me $600 more.
We had a 10 day gap between closings and we spoke with our driver at our house in Garden City and asked them to keep the stuff on the trucj as long as possible, hoping to move directly into our new house and not have to use storage. And that's what they did - they kept our load on the truck for 10 days and we were able to move the stuff right into our house. They also wrapped a bunch of stuff in paper padding and didn't charge us extra for it.
I can't tell you who to use but I could definitely tell you who not to use. Allied Van lines is the worse moving company on the planet. They screwed me real good

Such a big company that's been around so long? What scam did they pull on you?
