Bayshore deteriorated as soon as the venerable Bay Shore Hotel was taken down.

You're ignorance is laughable. It's like saying most people from the Holtsville area are inbred.

I wouldn't call it ignorance. Let's just say I do my research/homework.

Type in Bayshore, then type in Holtsville. Go back one year and You tell me where you would send your kids to school.

You do realize that a mall is going to give an area a much higher crime rate on a site such as that?

Wyandanch safer than Massapequa? Seriously.

Anyone that would post an argument the way he did just doesn't get it and clearly doesn't spend any time in Bay Shore. That is why I haven't even responded back.

I have too much time on my hands so i've created an interactive map that shows which parts of Bay Shore, Brightwaters, West Bay Shore, North Bay Shore and "Baywood" are the nicest; and which are the roughest. The greater Bay Shore area is very large so it can be hard for those unfamiliar with the area to be able to distinguish between the countless unique neighborhoods that make up Bay Shore,

This is just my opinion but many other locals would agree (I used to live in Bay Shore). If you disagree then explain why.

FULL-SIZE VERSION (that can be zoomed in): https://drive.google.com/open?id=10L...fW&usp=sharing

Dark Blue: Wealthy areas with many large historical estates (i've shaded Main Street as Dark Blue since it has upscale amenities).
Dark Green: Nice and impeccably well-kept areas.
Light Green: Decent/average-looking neighborhoods.
Orange: Iffy area
Red: Rough area.

Bayshore is a magical land of leprechauns, unicorns, pizza, watermelons, and water.

You omitted Crazy Dave. Anyone from Bay Shore (two words) who's over 50 knows who he is. His longevity rivals Keith Richards.
