JFK has been there since before 1950 (just looked it up because I was curious).

This is like people who move next to railroad tracks and dragstrips that have been around forever and then complain about the noise. Or the people who buy houses near large wooded areas and then complain about the bears and deer, etc.

Don't like it,then move.

Im coming and im going to ask them to fly lower, because i like to look at them and see the detail of the rivets in there body.

Im going to ask them that the 5 people here complaining are insane and really want them to use there driveways for touch and go's, especially crv , would like 5 touch and go's per day

I agree. I was just having this dicsussion with my husband the other night. My mom lives 25 minutes from JFK and the planes are always flying over her house, does she complain? No she does not! I live on a busy corner and it's noisy all the time and I am fine with it.

I agree with you MGT04, however I'm about 15 miles from JFK in central Nassau County. When I purchased my home I did my due diligence. The FAA has since changed the approach paths into JFK and are flying below mandated altitudes. In addition the same communities are now being burdened with almost 35% of all JFK arrivals even though seven (7) other runway options are available.

I invite you to come to the meeting so you can become better educated on the issues.

The problem is that lately the flight path seems to have changed and the planes are lower and directly above our homes near Floral Park/Bellerose/New Hyde Park. This was never the case until recently. Therefore the people in our areas did not chose to live by a flight path.
