Sad to say ...we we mightve been better off with JJ.

I can believe how much BriFo has sold out to the developers and raised our taxes.
What was she thinking with this a$$clown.

I have a broken lawnmower in the shed....maybe it could be Brookhaven Town Supervisor?

Are they real (have their own Zip code) or are they just areas?

Lindenhurst doesnt scare me in the slightest.
Its on par with West Babylon
Copiague is rough.

Yes, Salisbury is real, part of Westbury with the East Meadow school district. South of Old Country Rd. I do not believe it has it's own zipcode.

No Zipcode....No town

Just an area.

clam - not true! Go to this site (Nassau County Department of Assessment) and click on "MAP", then click on the zip code overlay and you'll see that the areas covered by individual zip codes don't correspond to the borders of the cities (brown), villages (green) and hamlets (yellow) at all.

http://www.nassaucountyny.gov/mynassauproperty/

What you write on a mailing address before the zip code doesn't really matter, the post office system is separate from the structure of individual towns in NYS.

Strongs Neck is a "place" w/ a Setauket PO . It is not a separate village , but Old Field is a town, but it doesn't have its own PO , but it is a village . Neither does Lloyd Harbor which has a Huntington PO, but it is a village unto itself with a mayor and its own Police Department . I am not sure what the difference is there.

IMHO, I would avoid N. Babylon like the plague. My sister pulled her 2 kids out of the schools as they went down the tube and both go to parochial HS now. Given her mortgage and taxes, it hurts -- but she said at least she knows they are getting educated and she is less worried about the safety factor.
