They're going to knock it down and put up an Ohrbach's.
You know what else has been an eyesore... the old KMart site on Hempstead Tpke in Levittown. HUGE property, no tenant except an Office Depot at the one corner. So sad.
Having worked with the Plans for The Gallery - it is going to be quite impressive.
It may be impressive, but it is not in Westbury; located at 900 Old Country Road, The Gallery At Westbury Plaza is in the Hamlet of East Garden City ("Westbury, NY 11590" mailing address).
overheard some suits yesterday as i walked in to trader joe's... gap outlet and banana republic outlet are coming to the gallery soon. just thought i'd post it here for those interested.
I think it's hilarious that they replaced one badly designed mall (the Source) with another (the Gallery). It's a lot of fun walking between the Gallery stores in freezing weather.

I prefer it the way they built. This way if you want to go to a specific store you don't have to walk through a mall to get there. You're in and out. As for the weather, we do live in NY.
