LOL funny dvd cover.

Lakeview is sort of LI's version of the "Mistake by the Lake".
They do have horseback riding available around that area and some decent spots. But like another poster recommended, I wouldn't want to be around there after dusk.

In all serious though, I've gone fishing at that park during the day, it's not bad. The area around it is pretty bummy though, not DANGEROUS but not exactly a family oriented neighborhood.

I've been by there many times. It's mostly residential homes which I would assume are filled with families. What gives you the impression that it's not family oriented? Most homes are typical LI homes, well kept, capes and split ranches. I did notice a few boarded up ones but that is becoming a common scene all over the Island. The strip malls could do with some cleaning up as well.

Too many minorities. You know after the sun goes down they come out to rob and kidnap people.

Show me where there is a strip mall in Lakeview. I know there is a Stop-N-Shop by the Lirr station but, that's no where near the park. Please..if you don't frequent the area or know anyone that lives there, keep your misinformed opinions to yourself

Boarded houses are the works of a poor economy and what part of Long Island south of the LIE isn't landscaped with strip malls. I've seen boarded up homes and more strip malls than you can count in Levittown. Would you make the same statement about that town which by the way has similar stats on family life?
