Can anyone recommend someone who can diagnose the cause of a wet basement and fix it? I believe it's coming from groundwater. I know there are a lot of rip-off artists in this field and people who don't know what they're doing. Just moved in 2 months ago. I live in Huntington. Thanks.
What's wet - floor, walls or both. I had water coming into my basement and solved the problem by re-directing the water away from my house at the downspout in the area outside.
I would highly recommend looking into getting a "French Drainage" system. I know someone who was constantly getting water in the basement from rain and the basement hasn't seen a drop of water in more than 20 years. It may be expense, but truly the best resolution.
