When Las Vegas stabilizes economically I may make a move.

The question is what year?

More specifically, what year do you think that unemployment will be under 6% in the Las Vegas Metro?

Nobody can predict that. I can tell you it is going to be a long time before that happens. The whole country is going to go into a huge depression that will last for years. I would say it will be over 10 years before unemployment drops below 6%

2014. Harry Reid; gone. BO; gone. It will also depend on how quickly the construction workers leave.

It probably will be longer than that. Once ObamaCare kicks into full gear, unemployment will go up everywhere as businesses lay people off to cut costs. Those fortunate enough to keep their jobs will see their taxes raised, which lowers their disposable income. Lower disposable income nationally means fewer dollars available to be spent here, which will further depress the local employment market. Unfortunately, unless things change soon, I see a very bleak future for Las Vegas and other vacation destinations.

No sooner than two years...certainly within three to five.

The construction workers are basically gone. What is needed is a general pickup in the national economy leading to disposable income and tourism.

I suggest that we keep all the political garbage out of these threads. Has basically nothing to do with anything.
