I recently accepted a new position and will be relocating to Vegas shortly. I'm in the middle of my househunting trip, and with pretty specific requirements for what I'm looking for in a unit, I haven't found a place that I'm ready to call home.

Any suggestions on how to find rental homes with higher end features? Thoughts on renting a private home vs. a complex (I'm concerned about foreclosures)? Thoughts on neighborhoods with the best combination of high end living with retail (I've seen several neighborhoods with a lot of housing, but few places to eat or get groceries).

Some of my must-have details
-Gas appliances
-Townhouse Style (multi-level,no upstairs/downstairs neighborhoods)
-Attached garage with direct access
-Granite (Corian, Quartz or other stones are fine, just hate formica!)
-Stainless or Black appliances
-Hardwood floors would be great, just no white tile
-Outdoor space (Patio at a minimum, would be great to get a yard)

I'm single, mid-30's and expect to be traveling quite a bit, with an office based in the SW. 30 min or less to the airport (in traffic) would be great.

I know it's a bit of a laundry list, but I'm hopeful it exists! Coming from LA, so that may be skewing my perception a bit.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I just posted this on another inquiry maybe this will help you as well.
Contact Real-estate companies like Re/Max or Century 21 that have a property management division and you should be able to find what you want. Also there are companies that is all they do that are licensed,

When dealing with licensed a property manager they can be held accountable if something goes wrong. With 1 in 82 house holds in foreclosure in Las Vegas you run the risk of being evicted after you move in.
Home owners are notorious for renting homes that they are either going to be foreclosed on or trying to short sale. I suggest you do your own dudiligence as well to monitor whatever property you rent on monthly basis to look in the county records to make sure your rental hasn't been foreclosed on. And it's not just banks that foreclose on properties HOA's (home owners association's) can foreclose as well. Good luck
