I am travelling to wonderful Vegas between March 15 and April 15 2008 with my wife and kids (3yo and 8mo). I am turning 40 and it´s kind of a celebration. I want to rent a house (budget is not an issue), two cars, and spend time both playing poker and with my family. I need advice as to which area is the nicest to stay around. I am thinking particulary safety, gated communities with tennis courts, pool etc. I dont mind being away from the strip (I live in Mx City and am used to traffic, passing time in car etc.). Please give me some advice, is Lake Mead too far? which are the nicest neighborhoods etc.

I appreciate very much your help .

Peace

Default Luxury

Here is what is avaiable in the MLS for short term furnished luxury rentals. There are likely better sources for places set up for that service...but these are likely nicer.

Note that you can also expect them to ask for more money on a one month...

I posted them here for all the Vegans who wonder what the upper end looks like. Note that there are many nicer places...but not on a 1-3 month lease.

I always enjoy going to Lake Mead on weekends, and I would definitely recommend going there at least once for some water recreation time. But..I wouldn't choose to rent a house over there, as the area itself isn't particularly exciting.

Personally, if you're looking for a nice area to stay in, I'd recommend either Summerlin, the far north side (such as the Centennial Hills area), or down by the District (in Henderson).

There is a website, I don't remember the address, that had a lot of listings for what you require, many of the homes were in the Rancho/Alta area as well...

The area around the District has nothing with what this poster is looking for...except for maybe the Estates, which doesn't offer much anyway...
