There is a couple of Wheel patterns that are even money that you use to be able to book 20 years ago that would pay 2/1

I have never heard that it is illegal, even with team play. I assume you are referring to the Ken Uston team or the MIT crew. Sure, you and the whole team will be banned for life from ALL the casinos, but illegal, I think not. If you are only using your brain, they cannot have you arrested. Things like past posting at roulette will have you arrested, but not card counting. I am a member of multiple gambling forums, so I will bring this up there. Do you have a link that says team card counting is illegal?

Do you want the exact NVGBC statue on the subject. I will go look it up when I go in for work tonight. If another person is signaling you the count, that’s team play and illegal. Seven grandmas from the Moose Lounge rummy club all seated at the same table showing each other cards would not be illegal. BJ teams get convicted just as fast slot cheats

They might ban you if you win quite a bit. If you're losing at it, they'll let you count as long as you like.

What people don't understand is even with counting, the odds only tilt SLIGHTLY in your favor. Basically, what it boils down to is an increased chance of blackjack. You would still need a very deep bank roll to realize this slight advantage.

I've counted before. Just the simple +1/-1 system everyone knows. You may have to go through several shoes to get an advantage, so you have to manage not to bust before then. Even then, every count I've ever gotten in my favor I've gotten hammered. Most people don't stop to realize that a "rich" deck also means the dealer is likely to get better cards. This is why teams have been far more successful than individuals because you have to bet big that 10-20% of the time you have a favorable shoe to offset your disadvantage the rest of the time and teams can disguise their bets better. Again, you're hoping to pull BJ with some big bets.

I don't usually bother counting anymore because it takes the fun out of it.

That is very correct. I only win 2 out of six BJ sessions. Proper money mangement keeps me ahead of the game not not enough to make it worthwhile to pursue full time.

I am not attacking Mojave in any way, I am just saying this goes against anything I have ever known. I have done more research, and I am right. There has NEVER been a card counting team that was CONVICTED of any crime, UNLESS DEVICES WERE USED. Here is more info.

"It was documented in court that Nevada casinos with ownership stakes in the Windsor casino were instrumental in the decision to prosecute team members on cheating charges. However, the judge ruled that the players' conduct was not cheating, but merely the use of intelligent strategy.[9]"

"Team play was big in the 1990s. A team would consist of one or more players at a table betting only the table minimum and counting cards. Since these players never increased their wager, the casinos could not spot them as counters. These players then signal another, "big money" player. The "big money" player wanders from table only stopping where the count is in his favor and only betting large amounts. Without the typical wager increases of a single card counter, teams of players were difficult for the casino to spot.
A casino may escort you off premises, read you the riot act, and threaten you with trepassing should you return. They may share your picture and profile with other casinos. However, this is not likely unless you are wagering large sums of money."
