Blue Diamond and Rainbow. I had just dropped my daughter at the airport and came back on the 15. I considered myself lucky until the rain started! Of course, just after I got the tire changed the rain stopped. Yup, I lost my 4 leaf clover and rabbits foot, obviously a long time ago. LOL

If you have a cheap car, you will only need liability. I have found Progressive to be the cheapest. I pay $38 a month for the lowest state limit liability insurance. I also have to have an SR22 because of a DUI, so my record is not good either.
If u dont mind me asking, has it been hard for u out there with that DUI? My BF got one on Thanksgiving, we dont know for sure whats gonna happen as of yet..still waiting but he might loose his job behind it..He drives buses...We were thinking of moving to Vegas...Im in school, and have money put away..just curious!

I do not mind you asking, and will give you an honest answer. It has literally ruined my life. When I moved here, I immediately got a job as a nursing assistant, making $500 a week. I got the DUI two weeks later, and I immediately was locked up for 5 days. Since it was a no call no show, I got fired. Since then, no nursing jobs have ever given me a chance because of it. I did private care, and I need to drive clients around, so forget it. It has also destroyed my delivery driver jobs I was able to get before. This town promotes alcohol and partying all over the place, but they will stick you in the ass if you endulge in it, trust me. Now, I will not go anywhere other than my feet or the bus if I am going to drink. By the way, I got this DUI in July of 2006, and it is still affecting me to this day.

I was a nursing assistant. In other words, take care of seniors or disabled people with their basic needs, such as..

Preparing and Serving Meals
Light Housekeeping
Laundry
Running Errands
Shopping
Companionship
Accompany on Outings/Appointments
Medication Reminders

I was never a true nurse. It only took a 1 week class to do what I did.

I am doing ok. I got a job as a security guard snce then, which I have done for 3 years now. It pays the bills, and I am not suffering. Still, I miss doing what I did before.

p.s. Feel free to contact me by D.M. anytime. I try to help with information anytime I can, and I keep it real.

Jobs are tough right now here in town. It was in the paper today, 10,000 jobs filled at City Center with 170,000 applications submitted.

While there might be some jobs in the hospitality/customer service sector, perhaps in retail or food service, there is a lot of competition.

Word of caution, don't move here without a job. You'll soon be miserable.

Take a trip here if you can. Look at the city, rent a car and drive around, stop in stores and businesses and fill out applications.

Plan well and make sure you have enough funds to eat and pay rent for a long time. Showing up in person at a business (if that option is available) that might be able to use your skills and asking if there is any job opportunities sometimes is a good thing!

No place on earth is worth moving to if you can't find employment once you get there. Savings get used up pretty quickly that way. Let up know how you're doing and best of luck to you!

Agree with mom when i worked at the bellagio the customers and management treated allot of the employees shabbily. A good majority of large companies are like this unfortunately . As for Davie getting slapped by a customer that is just plain and simple an assault . If the management their did not side with you i would i have called the police on my own no one deserves that.
