If you are looking for the best seafood buffet in the world, you are not going to find it in Las Vegas. There are some great buffets with some okay seafood on them. But the best seafood in the world is going to be in the coastal cities, like New Orleans, San Francisco, Boston etc. where they get the stuff fresh and it's not shipped cross country to the desert.

Generally the best buffets are at the high end resorts with the highest price tag on them. I've eaten at the Rio and its decent, don't know about the Bellagio or the Wynn.

Disagree Cajun. The coastal cities have some limited number of items that may well be the best in the world...but a seafood buffet normally draws off a much larger base. I doubt very much that the halibut or king crab in New Orleans is local or as good as that in Vegas.

The best sea food I have encountered was on the docks in Tskiji in Tokyo..the vast majority of which came in frozen.

If money is no object Bellagio. The Rio was often considered the best around but recently their have been a couple of reports of lesser performance.

The seafood at The Resort at Summerlin was outstanding when they opened, but I can't say how it is now +/- 7 years later.

The Rio Seafood Buffet always has a long line to get in. I only ate there once and they had every kind of seafood. The only reason I never went back is I discovered that night I was allergic to something, probably shellfish, and I got so sick I was afraid I'd die. Then I got sicker and was afraid I wouldn't.

Bellagio has the best buffet in town but it isn't strickly seafood, although they do have a lot of seafood there. The Golden Nugget had the best buffet until the same guy who owned it opened the Bellagio, and it was a more resaonable price; but I don't know if it's back since they did a major remodel of the hotel.
