Has anyone gone down to the employment centers? What is the difference between applying there and applying online.. I was told that you can show them your experience and they can place you.. Any truth to that?

Harrah's will just let you fill out an app at one of the terminals. Your resume needs to catch the eye of the recruiter screening for the specific position. If you don’t get a call within a week, move on they are not interested. The other battle is passing the upbeat & positive pannel interview.

Mm, not always. It depends on the job you're applying for...

I've never been able to get past those pre-screening interviews. Damnedest thing. Over qualified? Under qualified? Who knows?

I was interviewed last month @ the employment center. A week after, I was called again for an interview with one of the casino managers and the shift supervisor. They offered me the work schedule, discussed the benefits, etc...They said they will "definitely" call me the following week "not later than Thursday". It's been a month, and not a word.

Dont worry man I think things will get better for you. Keep your head up high and dont give up. Harrah will be the one I am sure. She'll give you a call you need to be strong.

Vegas is a tough town. Tough town. Eats people alive. This business is getting tougher and tougher every night, with Harrah being a monster in the rough.

You waited too long...I would have been on the horn with them one day before the following Thursday...and definitely no later than the following Friday.
