It's the same building (still looks nice, especially compared to what I'm used to in other places) but the people this time were super friendly. Even the police officer guarding the door opened it for us and wished us a nice day on the way out.

Service with a smile. Maybe a sign they're collecting too many taxes
actually, the registration is more than one percent for a few years..i have a 2012 Veloster... cost 23ish.. plates 1st year were close to 400.

El Paso is NO WHERE comparable to Las Vegas.. My wife is from there and having visited her family numerous times, I wouldn't retire there no matter what.. Also waaaaay tooo close to the border with all the trouble for my taste....

I see this issue popping up at times. Is health care really all that different from any other city?

I was recently hospitalized at St Rose Siena with no complaints on the care and procedures. I should write that other than child birth this was my first time being hospitalized. My primary care Dr. mentioned that they did a very thorough check and covered all tests for the symptoms. We are semi-retired snowbirds.

No place caters to seniors like Las Vegas does. The locals casinos have free weekly slot tournies, bj tournies, specials on buffets and theatres have $4 movies during the day on certain days for seniors...some with free popcorn, and on and on. In no other city I know can you leave with $20 and eat all day, play all day, and get treated absolutely special. There are free shows that cater to seniors like the live taping of Las Vegas Rocks at Boulder Station, free specials at Sams Town where I have won free clothing just for a few points on my slot card, and on and on. Morning poker tournies at the locals casinos have great cheap morning poker tournies open to everyone but it is most retired seniors that play. Entry fee is very inexpensive and it's a great time to have a morning full of free coffee and a chat with other retirees. Don't get me wrong that other cities don't have things for seniors, but only in Vegas does it make you feel "young again" !

We love the local's casinos, and the deals. We visit Sam's town when in LV. Last year we took my son and his fiancee to Sam's. There was a draw every hour, and some folks with players cards in machines, were picked out to win $100. My son had only just joined, and was sat playing for the first time at a slot machine. He was picked out, and won $100. Shoulda been me........

Those are THE reasons to love Las Vegas! Still amazes me that people move to a desert and complain about heat.
