I had a mechanic look at it, and he's confirmed that there's minimal frame damage behind the rear wheels (near trunk), so it shouldn't affect normal usage. That said, it's still going to be slightly less stable & it's still a SALVAGE TITLE.
Two things:

Salvage titles should be avoided. You generally will find it impossible to unload the vehicle AND you may have a lot of problems finding insurance for it. Also, there is often undiscovered damage that your mechanic may not find. Also, that Hyundai Sonata is priced as in good condition when it is actually in poor shape.

Las Vegas is the rental car capital of the country. Have you considered buying an off-lease vehicle? Hyundai Sonatas are a dime a dozen as they are a favorite of many large car rental companies.

Shopping for a used car is NOT like shopping for a new one. A dealer may ASK for $8k for a used Sonata ***BUT*** might accept $6-6.5k. Remember, there are THREE prices for every car - the ASKING price, the WANTING price, and the ACCEPTED price.

Do realize that Sonatas are not highly desired on the used car market (even though they are not bad cars) and in ample supplies. You may get a better deal from a domestic dealer.

actually here in the midwest, they are desired due to the comparable price of the camry and accord... However the 2006, has much higher demand (better body style)
