I have to fly out of town and curious if I should park my car at the airport for 10 days and pretty expensive or is there some type of neighborhood shuttle service like Super Shuttle, Prime Time etc that picks up in the Summerlin area delivers me to and from airport. If so ideas about the cost? I have searched online and only find those that go to the strip or downtown. Ideas are welcomed.

Someone on here, cant remember who it was, recommended parking in the garage at the MGM and taking the hotel shuttle to the airport. Free parking. Who knows if your car will still be there when you get back though. They might keep an eye on how long cars are parked there. Good idea though.

park at the SSTT and take the 109 for 10 minutes to McCarran, just let the security know at the SSTT that it will be there for more than 7 days, it is free and you only pay the bus fare...

There is a guy with a car who works Sun City...try the Llink or ask the neighbors. It is mostly a word of mouth thing though I understand he is very reliable. Next best is order a town car from Bell. There is no super shuttle. Cabs are more than the town car.

The extended stay lot is much cheaper than the airport structures.

You can also use the casino structures but I would not do so for more than a week.

That is the Sun City Summerlin LINK - misspelled.

That is the official publication that has ads in it for various services available to Sun City people.

South Strip Transfer Terminal, it is a RTC bus terminal between the All-American Sports Park and the Rental Car Center on Gillespie. I heard that they are usually fine with the car staying more than 7 days and the station is very liberal with rules anyway, because it is usually empty except for tourists on the Deuce going to the malls on the South Strip, or the people that are transferring buses...and its completely opposite of the DTC (Downtown Transportation Center)...

Quote from the Web Site:
The South Strip Transfer Terminal is the Regional Transportation of Southern Nevada's (RTC's) first park and ride facility and has been successfully serving the community since 2004 as a transit hub for the RTC and it’s an option for travelers using McCarran International Airport.

The parking spaces at the terminal are available free of charge on a first come, first-serve basis to transit riders. Passengers are permitted to leave their vehicle parked in the lot for up to seven days and are encouraged to notify Security at 702-676-1849 when leaving their vehicle in the parking lot. If their vehicle needs to be left for longer than seven days, transit riders must make arrangements with Security.

Parking your car at the South Strip Transfer Terminal at Gilespie Street and Sunset Road and using transit to get to the airport is a breeze. The South Strip Transfer Terminal provides passengers with amenities such as a climate controlled waiting area, restrooms, a customer service counter, concession area, park and ride lot, service to the airport and the Strip, a kiss and ride lot and convenient transfers to other transit routes. The Customer Service Booth operates seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Heading to McCarran Airport?
From the South Strip Transfer Terminal, it’s about a ten minute ride on Route 109 to McCarran International Airport. Currently, approximately 100 spaces are available free of charge on a first-come, first-serve basis to transit riders and to meet growing demand we're adding more than 100 additional parking spaces. Passengers can leave their vehicles in the park and ride lot up to seven days, and their ride to and from the airport will only cost $1.25 each way.

I don't see why you can't just park your car in one of the overflow lots at MCCarran, and take the little shuttle to the terminal. It's free in those versus long term parking. And they have roving security 24/7 at the overflow lots. Just remember where you parked your car when you get back though. Nothing worse than getting off a long flight and can't find your car...roaming around for hours...yes, been there did that last year.

I guess I was just concerned about safety coming back at night. Do they get you fairly close to your car???
Probably will do that overflow lot if I can find out where it is. Remember I am new to the area.
