Gang,
I have a pool of properties I'll be looking at in Jan/09 before we move to LV this spring.
Before we decide on purchasing a house I'd like to see how outrageous prices are for high rise appts, by the stip or not.
The websites that I've used to pinpoint our choices (Realtor.com and Ziprealty.com) don't list high rise appts, or rather, they do, but only a few.
Is there a website where high rise appts are given priority?
Last time i was in LV (2 weeks ago) it was eery to see the high rise building by the strip at night with maybe a few of appts with their lights on. meaning, the rest were empty.
So i thought, well, these high rises must be dying for buyers, so I'll take a look.
Lo and behold, to my surprise, ive seen very few listings for high rise appts. What gives? or wth?!
Any ideas?

YOu can find a list at

High Rises for Sale 10/13/08t (http://www.donohueteam.com/High%20Rises%20for%20Sale.htm - broken link)

I know of no way to get at them without an RE Agent. Soon but not yet. The Vertical class is being implemented in the MLS but does not really have any meat yet.

There are a few more in smaller or older places that I have ignored. Have fun.

Note that they are dark but not vacant. Virtually all the strip places are occupied less than 20% of the time. Big fights and stuff however and they are 80% or more occupied.

The verdict is not in yet on the condo-hotels. But I would not expect a whole lot.
