Crazy you should ask this.....17yrs ago in Ohio when my wife and i were looking for a home, we found a beautiful condo... absolutely gorgeous... and the price was right... anyway this was the time that all over the news they were talking about power lines causing health issues so i was talked out of this place.. we settled on a small home about 20 minutes away from the condo... needless to say, we should have bought the condo because a few years later they were reporting that there was no connection between the power lines and health related issues.... also because the price of the condo and the area appreciated tremendously... ironically, my dealership is across from the condo now...

Primary health impact from power lines is to your wallet. I would expect some resale impact for anyone within a few hundred yards. Basically the more obvious the more impact.

I am skeptical that any other health impact exists.

Thanks yet again all! Conclusion: Ended up buying a place in the Paseos that is neither previously flooded nor near powerlines. It's my very first home and we close in three weeks. I'm excited!
