This thread is so old those people who started it probably have enough friends already. But if you want to know the best way to make friends in Las Vegas, don't buy a house, you'll never see your neighbors. Rent an apartment and hang out at the pool. Or have kids. They tend to bring their families together with their friends' families. And you'd never prove it by me, but I'm told going to church and/or joining a church or school group is a good way. If you're single and want to meet people of the opposite sex, the best place is at the mall...any mall. If you can't get lucky in a Las Vegas mall you're not trying. Ooo, ooo, ooo, and Whole Foods Market. What a great place for hot babes...Uhhh, I'm told...I've never noticed myself, Honey.

Yes you meet folks in Green Valley, but your going to have to do what you've been doing. Most people in and around Las Vegas are from somewhere else, you don't meet many locals. So everyone is looking for friends for the most part so keep networking and you will meet friends.

I never understood the whole go to church to meet people concept I never meet people there. When I was living in LV (im coming back soon) I lived in an apartment and met most of my friends there and I took classes and met friends there also the gym or if you have kids play groups they have them for all ages. Kinda funny but I met my best friend in Wal Mart lol.

It must depend on the church you attend. Most churches have Fellowship groups which include couples and singles.

Some people simply just "go to church". Others also participate in church functions...it's those functions where you get to meet people.

Like everywhere else I have lived, most of my friends today were coworkers in the past or people I have done business with. While changing jobs a lot isn't suggested, it would certainly give you a shot at meeting a lot of people.
