Now here comes an opportunity too good to pass up. Let's put together a group and buy the Lake at at Lake Las Vegas. Hell we can rent the lake view to the residents. If the don't pay we float 30 foot tall dirty words on it.

Or we could put two story house boats and rent them Section 8...

We could raise crocodiles or alligators.

Grow rice in the shallows.

Hold the lake ransom. Residents don't pay up we add no more water and the Lake evaporates in three or four years.

What other creative idea for the use of our new lake?

How about putting a riverboat casino on it? Do you that idea would float? I sure wouldn't sink too much money into it!

I always wondered why the place was so empty whenever we visited. It seemed like a jewel in the middle of the desert.

The District at GVR definitely trumped Lake Las Vegas as a place to spend the evening. I guess it's more central location to 95 & 215 and it's better selection of shopping/dining proved to be a better combination than LLV.

The District at Green Valley Ranch is adjacent to the hotel. It is an outdoor mall with a nice assortment of dining & shopping. They have a lot of events there for adults and children alike.

I was never much impressed with the place. Oh it's beautiful inside but the location sucks. Maybe for retired it's ok but imagine having to commute from there to where the work is every day? The entrance is impressive but I always entered from the ugly construction entrance.

It may have gotten nicer today, I was in there often in the early stages. I did Celine Dions kitchen back in about 1999. I never met her but I got to know Rene and her Mom pretty well. Lots of celebrities in there for sure. The lake is just ok, nothing to brag about. Then again, any water in the desert deserves bragging rights. It's too small for any number of boats.

Olecapt you were joking to buy the place. I never heard anything about anything for sale. Who or what is going bankrupt anyway? Is it the HOA there or the Country Club which I believe is a private entity? Does some entity actually own Lake Las Vegas? What's for sale?
