I live in Yellow stone, mountain's edge and I have a bark scorpion problem. I have a bug company come out every month, but I just found one in my KITCHEN. I called the HOA and they did not seem to care, so my thank you to the HOA is telling everyone I know - DO NOT MOVE TO MOUNTAIN'S EDGE.
The HOA should take this more seriously and spray common landscape areas. They are so quick to take your money and so quick to dismiss any real concerns like this. Maybe it will take someone on the HOA committee to get stung to realize this is a serious problem.
DO NOT MOVE TO MOUNTAIN'S EDGE LAS VEGAS - especially if you have young children.

I caught what I believe to be a bark scorpion up in Mt. Charleston today. He's so cute. I plan on feeding him these bastard cockroaches that won't seem to go away.

You were complaining about this very same problem back in September...and unfortunately the problem still exists..wish there was an answer to help you!

I have friends that live on Ram Cliffs...I spoke to them last night and asked if they have the same problem, they don't and they don't know of anyone who does near their home. Are your neightbors experiencing the same thing on your street? Is it just your home and lot? Perhaps if a few of your neighbors are having the same issues, you can all complain to the HOA (set up a meeting with them) then they will do something?

If you have palm trees on your property, get a landscaper to strip the bark 1/4 way up...prohibits the scorpions from hiding there, remove any large rocks on your property...did your pest control person check for cracks in your foundation/doors/windows where the scorpions might be coming in from?

I can understand your frustration, having a little one and all, I'd feel the same way. Is it possible to sell the home and move somewhere else?

I once taught a scorpion to bark, beg and sit...on command! Alas...I sold that little guy at a flea market.
