That would be a good option! I agree that stale cigarette smoke is really bad but for some reason that I can't figure out, cigar smoke doesn't bother me. In some cases, it actually smells kind of nice.

One can chew a gummy in a crowded place
and no one will ever know
but light up something commonplace
and out your butt will go.

In Texas, my neighbor's mom was a doctor of internal medicine. My Crohn's had been dormant for most of my teen and adult life. I had a resection at the Mayo Clinic when I was 14, 18 inches of the small intestine removed.
I've never smelled cannabis smoke here in Texas. The fascist police officers will pull a George Floyd if they sniff out a pothead in the act.

Can't wait to smell the new Vegas! (Passing through the cigarette smoke-filled gaming floor is my biggest pet peeve when I see shows in the theater. This is the reason I prefer visiting L.A. over Vegas!) My last visit to Vegas was several years ago when legalization was being considered.

Had make a quick trip to Phoenix a couple years back for a family emergency. I was flabbergasted to see dispensaries in conservative Republican Arizona openly advertising on billboards as I entered the metro area. That's how I figured out that Arizona loosened their pot restrictions; surprised to see GOP support on this issue!

Why is this a surprise? Vegas went corporate in the '90s.

The biggest shock is actually the parking situation. Driving around The Strip and parking my rental car in the casino garage for free was my primary way of navigating the area. The SoCal weekenders have been hit the hardest with the parking.

KerrTown, is that as in Kerrville? That is where I moved from. I know Texas is going to be the last state to legalize weed. In the 70s, in Bexar county, the cops would not even bother, they would just take your weed away and smoke it themselves, or give it to their girlfriends.

I woukd bet Utah would come after Texas, but wouldn't federal legalization make it legal nationwide, in one swipe, or woud there be a "Dry County" situation that still exists with alcohol.

I remember the dry counties in Texas. There was a bumper sticker that read, "I'll vote dry for the sake of my family". My mother put a poster board sign in our station wagon that said, "I'll vote wet for my sake".

2 comments about edibles

they don't work the same as smoking it

they can take a long time to kick in

as far as being stronger I don't know if that's a fact or not given some of the smokable products like waxes etcetera that are available these days

I do think all smokers should be respectful

Just like me he hates dealing with people and he said the whole atmosphere has changed. Sad as Vegas used to be a fun town......
I read this week we're getting designated pot lounges similar to Amsterdam so maybe that will help elevate some of it.

I'm a retired Law Enforcement Officer who died on a Nevada backroad 5 years ago - but was revived.

I was headed back to Salt Lake City from Las Vegas on a Harley motorcycle and was run over by a semi-truck near Ely Nevada. I spent 2 months in a Utah hospital and another 6 months in rehab. Since then, I'm functional but have intense pain which I treat with opiates. Ingesting marijuana helps me get through the day.

We have efficient and effective marijuana stores here in Utah. The stores I've seen in Las Vegas are way expensive. In Utah, I can get a bag of about 20 10mg chewies for $25. I've seen MJ candy bars sell for $110 in Las Vegas.

I think we'll see some of the pot foibles mentioned herein go by the wayside as people get used to living with marijuana. It simply sounds to me like some just aren't responsible right now. Here in Utah? The problems just aren't here to report.

Good to see you. Sorry to hear about what you've been through. I agree Las Vegas prices are higher than other States from what I've seen. In Oregon it was $10 - $15 for .5 gram of concentrate. Vape cartridges were $20. Edibles $5-$10 at my local dispensary.

Here at least they started a 4/20 menu where you can pick four items for $20 each from various options like pre-rolls, flower, concentrate, cartridges. They change the $20 items almost everyday so you can get something different a few days later.

Edibles are hit and miss really. Some of them give you a great big headache. Some don't work that well at all. Some work too well and then you don't feel well and have to ride it out. Sometimes people freak out and call the cops. They also take longer to work where as smoking or vaping works within minutes and you can decide to stop if it's too much and you'll be sober in thirty minutes to an hour depending on potency. The most that happens if you smoke too much is you get real lazy or sleepy.

Thx! I'll give it a try if it's still available.

Not like flower. Flower is stinky. Vape is light but still has a slight smell. Most people can't tell if you vape flower oil until you do it right in front of them or recently and the air hasn't cleared yet. It's discreet, fast acting, highly potent and a great way to hide it if you have conflicts with others near you over the smell, cuz there's no smell sticking to you.

The downside is the oil is worse for your lungs than the flower because it stays in your lungs and takes a long time to come out if ever. I didn't know that till my husband told. I always thought vaping was better for you cuz it seemed lighter but anything in the lung is bad really. I've only seen actually Hash at the dispensary once. There's some there right now actually, but they do have all kinds of concentrates like butter, sugar, live resin, shatter, snap-n-pull, etc. I find the lower prices concentrate is hit or miss too even if it say it's a higher percentage of potency. Quality is going to be different I guess for lower end prices. At least here in Nevada I've found it's hit or miss. In Oregon it was pretty consistent and would knock you out. Different States have different brands and products too. Mostly all locally grown stuff.

Pre-rolls are significantly cheaper than a disposable vape pen by $20. They're good for single use like joints but just as stinky. A vape pen usually is more potent and will last several days longer and you can puff it out the hotel window crack without smelling up anything. If you're not used to high concentrate it might lay you out too. Some people who don't vape them night and day, like a high tolerance stoner does in four days, make their disposable vape pen last weeks or months.

Hate the smell of pot and cigarette smoke, cigars are even worse

Have no issue with people smoking whatever they want in private

Before it was legal, even the fancy hotels had pot smoke wafting through the parking garages
