Hi there, since I have sold my car, I have to start scouting affordable grocery stores near where I live to buy some pastries and personal care items once a week. I do get the majority of my food delivered but I find it to be nice to visit affordable grocery stores once in a while.

The Albertson's I went to on W Charleston Blvd is really really expensive. Is it the case for all Albertson's or just the Albertson's stores in Summerlin?

Will Smith's be cheaper than Albertsons?

Any other stores in the Western Summerlin/Southern Summerlin area that is cheaper than Smith's? I do notice there is a Walmart Neighborhood Market in the northeast near 89149, is Walmart Neighborhood Market usually cheaper than Smith's?

Any other cheap, value grocery stores like Aldi or Marc's in Ohio?

We typically goto Sprouts when we are in a hurry but if you want cheap you gotto head to the chinese or mexican markets. 168 market is where we go once a week and they have live seafood as well.

I generally find Smith's to be cheaper than Alberstons/Vons in my neighborhood, but I don't live near you. Sprouts is good for some things (fruits and veggies) but too expensive for others.

168 is too far away for me to ride my electric scooter over, but sprouts isn't too bad since it's just south of W Charleston!

Any other places you would recommend that is close to the Costco on W Charleston? I live just North of that Costco so the closer the better.

Would you say Smith's is always cheaper than Albertson's?

I really like the expensive pie sold at Albertson's because the value is really there albeit very pricey.

Great info!

How would you compare the prices between Walmart and Smith's for day to day groceries?

Any other stores that you go to for a bargain?

I live by Red Rock casino and I use to goto Smiths years ago but I find the quality and pricing to be better at Sprouts especially if you buy items on sale.

Gotcha. So I guess I'll rotate among Sprouts, Albertsons and Smiths.

Yes, rotating probably as I find each one is cheapest for different things at different times. Having said that, it does seem like Wal-Mart is cheapest overall on a consistent basis.

I find Costco to provide the best value for me - measured as quality/price. That being said, their sizing is intended for families. I buy non-perishables, some dairy and meat at Costco. Then buy small quantities of fruits, veggies and grains at Sprouts to avoid spoilage.

Depending on your age Vons and others grocery stores have senior day and First Respoder day with 10% discount as I recall.
