I used to transfer busses at TP LM intersection. Really good produce at that Latino market. Been a few years, but it starts getting much better W of 95.. Likely quite a bit better than east side of town, or NLV. I am guessing on Captains crime map, it would be solid yellow.

A lot of stolen cars end up behind the Gas Station/O Riley's auto parts on smoke ranch and jones. I use to live just a few miles from here and this area is not bad but it does have its share of crime. I know people who live in this zip code for years and never experienced anything bad (89108)

Just affordable. I have been to some areas that many on here and on another forum say is very bad, but did not look too bad when I saw it in person. Like North Las Vegas near I-15. I think people are just scared because it is minority majority.

You have to go to the area that you are interested in during the daytime on a weekday. In the evening when everyone is off work. And on the weekend. Then see if it is still an area you want to be in. And look at the crime map as well. The area where you want to live right now, it gets a lot of air time on the nightly news. A lot of crime. So good luck. There are much better area's.

From that area it's not too far from Desert Shores, Summerlin. I think you can find nicer and also affordable areas in the N, NW, SW.

Sorry to piggyback on someone else's thread, but as a related question, 1. what about the area that's a little more south and west: say, the area bordered by Rampart, Summerlin Pkwy, the 95, and Lake Mead Blvd? Opinions on this general area? Also, 2. how does this "box" compare to the next area further to the south of Summerlin Pkwy (off Westcliff, Alta, Charleston, Sahara, etc)?

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if any "Summerlin adjacent" areas are worth considering for condos.

Note that area from Vegas to Lake Mead from Rampart to Buffalo is Summerlin. Called the Pueblo. And the northeast corner of that block has some quite nice town houses which are actually walkable to virtually everything. Some back to one of Summerlins neat ravines which has a walking path along its bottom.

And one of the nicer condos in Las Vegas is in the SW corner.

The area along Westcliff has some reasonable housing but is a decade or two older. There are also a couple of nice earlier condos along Durango.
