Hiya,

I'm buying a vaction home in LV in a few weeks, I'm from the UK and we are not a country that tips. Can you advise.. do I tip my financial advisor and my realtor? I don't want to offend them in any way, if you do tip for these services in Nevada, I would like to be advised on how much and at what point during the purchase do you tip.

Thank You

You tip the service providers...servers, crap/card dealers, cab drivers, bell hops, etc. like you would in any other country. I can't believe a food server in London doesn't make tips. Is that for real? People with regular salaried jobs don't make tips. I, however, will accept a tip just for this message. I'll PM you with my address.

I'm sure cows would love tipping you as well. I will give them directions to your house.

Back to the original question..I'll echo what everyone else has said.

You don't have to tip your realtor or financial planner.

The only people you have to tip are food servers, valets, manicurists, hair stylists...things like that.

Actually, you don't HAVE to tip anybody. Especially if you want to send them the message that you didn't like the "service". Of course, sometimes it isn't thier fault but you can take that into consideration. There are tipping guides available such as this: Las Vegas Tipping Guide & Dress Code for Night Clubs and Shows
and this: Las Vegas | Tipping Guide (Dealers, cocktail waitresses, and more)
and this: How much do I tip in Las Vegas? - The Guide to tipping in Las Vegas
