My family and I will be moving to vegas in June. My husband will be starting a new job in May and then we will follow after the kids finish the school year. We currently live in Clearlake, CA. The economy is bad here and only getting worse. My mother-in-law lives in vegas now. She has told me the economy is still good out there. Can anyone give me any insight?

It will depend on what type of job you are looking for. Vegas has several new casino/resort properties set to open at the start of '09 and experts are calling for an uptick in the housing & job markets at that time. Service jobs always seem to be plentiful, too. You will find that landing a good job here often depends more on who you know than what you know, so you may want to network within your child's school, your neighborhood (it's a great time to buy a house) & have your husband do some scouting on his job as well.
