My husband has been trying to get rid of bronchitis for over 3 weeks now. It's getting there but I think the cough is going to linger awhile.

I got the flu on October 25, it lasted about 12 days, with the first two days being the worst

Next year I will get the flu shot, even though I'm not in the clear for the rest of this current flu season

I normally get the flu once every 2-4 years and always tell myself I will get the flu shot next year but (almost) never do. I think I have only had it once. There are so many conspiracy theories about flu shots, some of which I probably believe.

I have gotten every flu shot since the swine flu shot of the '70.

2004's US shot didn't work in Italy. I see why that year the pope kept getting put in the hospital. I had been at the vatican and blame him for giving it to me.

I was so sick in Florence, they called a doctor to the room. Had it for over a week. We had to extend our trip to get over it. Didn't see much of Florence that year.

I can see why people die with the flu, I have NEVER been so sick in my life.

The worst thing about the flu is people get it and still show up to work, so it spreads

My work is a breeding ground for influenza. You get rewarded for having perfect attendance, so there are flu ridden workers everywhere

Hand sanitizer is your friend. Make sure to use the alcohol based ones. Zicam nasal swabs if you start getting that icky taste in the back of your mouth that indicates you've picked up some bit of virus. They are expensive, and worth every penny.

I just got sick this weekend with the flu. Temp at 101-102.7 for 2 days and then 2 more at around 100-101. It seems to have pretty much gone away today - yay!

FYI - Hand sanitizer is only minimally effective for influenza virus. Much of that reason is because the virus is primarily spread via aerosols (sneezing, etc).

Caught some sort of upper respiratory bug (not a typical cold, which for me always follow a certain pattern) in Vegas visiting Sun-Tues. It toyed with me until I got back home, and then settled in today. Tamping it down with the usual OTC stuff. Stay well, everyone!
