Hi I would like to know if anyone has heard of Turtle Creek apartments in Las Vegas. In the apartment book, it is listed as GreenValley/Henderson but when I called management, I learned that it was in Las Vegas. Very confusing to say the least. In any event, I would love any info.

THANX.

It is in 89122 which is in the City of Las Vegas. Boulder Highway is marginal in that area. You really need to find someone who has stayed there for a good review. The area is adequate but just...and is close to, though not in, Henderson.

Thank you. I know no one in Vegas. I have read some replies, but like anything else: you can't please everyone. As far as the crime goes I did take the time to view your map. I'm from New York so it can't be that bad. It would take a lot to spook me.

I would not sweat crime in that area. Nothing really serious. I would however not leave anything in a car. For an urban person a piece of cake. Again that is the area...I can't deal with the property as that is so dependent on local management.

I understand that Turrle Creek is a wonderful place to live. As a matter a fact, I have applied for a rental there myself. Janelle, one of the management assistants, has done a wonderful job coordinating the enitre application process, particulalrly since I am completeing this process from a distance.

personally, I'd stay away from Boulder Highway... Boulder highway, and its connector Fremont St, is the old Vegas... Boulder Highway used to be the main route to Vegas from Hoover Dam, back in the 1930s.... Boulder and Fremont, and downtown, was it. Then as the city progressed in the 70s, 80s, 90s to the Strip and the burbs, Fremont, Boulder and downtown went downhill....

You'll find pockets on boulder... old industrial, old commercial, and even some factories nearby... dispersed with new gated communities. I personally find it odd........ but that is just me.....

As I have said numerous time in other posts, I would stick to the west side of Las Vegas, that is the southwest, Summerlin and northwest. Basically, I would recommend to stay WEST of BUFFALO DR., Check the map. It is all new, master planned, residential and commercial. No industrial, hardly any old stuff.... and the new 215 beltway is great access, and the all new 10 lane I-95 freeway is done, from Summerlin Parkway to the spaghetti bowl (95/I-15 connector at downtown)....
