There are NO good areas in Las Vegas - PERIOD! I live in Red Rock Country Club and two homes here are utilized for XXX photo shoots and XXX home cams. Morally, I have no issues with that but it would be nice for the porn shoots to shoot in dedicated studios instead of residential neighborhoods.

Maybe this post deserves a thread of it's own I don't know much about HOA's in Vegas but am sure the ones in Florida would frown upon that kind of thing. Maybe you should complain to your HOA. I totally agree with you though if people want to do stuff like that they need to be in dedicated studios or on private property that is far enough away from other houses (ie in isolated rural areas like the brothels). Just saying.

I am told by many that a LOT of the big fancy houses were snatched up by people in vice industries.
Not a lot of people had the cash to buy during the crash except drug dealers, whores and such.

(note I am not judging but I know many folks do and don't want to be around "those types of people")

Getting close to silliness. An XXX shoot can occur anywhere. Almost certainly not allowed to the Red Rock HOA rules. But it would have to be a repeated and continuing thing. The normal practice is to rent a home for a few days through AirBnB or such and show up and shoot and then leave. Running a cat house or a drug house in such an area is impractical. They get cut off at the gate. In fact any high usage will get attention. And most users of such establishments do not want their comings and goings and license plate numbers recorded...which is common gate practice.

We are now past 20 years here and have never seen anything interesting occur in our area. Well someone dumps a car here every other year or so. And the police will rarely catch a kid on a dirt bike...the number one neighborhood nuisance.

Unfortunately, one has to buy in a price range over one million to price out the trash. Even that number does not completely rule out trash.

sorry thought we answered it.

You will have to see for yourself, it changes block to block so you really can't specify areas.
you can have slums and palaces int he same zipcode.

Actually some of the risque people make interesting neighbors. Showed a house in the SW a few years ago a couple of times...was owned by a lady who was a "dancer/escort". That backyard pool was probably a good a sales gimmick as one could reach. Three or four of the best looking ladies one every comes across. Often a Chippendale guy too.

Once you get to places like TPC even the off color people are pretty respectable in all outward terms. There are a couple of "colorful" people down the block from Adelson...but you would never know.

Grow houses are generally expendable so cheap or rented. The problem is always the electric bill so they often steal power. If they use the regular hook up they are obvious. And stolen power is detectable if done in any quantity. They can use a generator but that will get picked up by the neighbors if not done very carefully.
