I remember back in the day when the back of the Stardust used to flood. They had even built a temporary wooden bridge that they could put over the water when it got like that so people could get from the tower over to those dumpy little motor lodge buildings.

Now, regarding EA's pictures, it makes me wonder why places still have problems like that. You would think that modern engineering could've come up with a solution when the newer places were built. Is it just that the flooding doesn't happen enough to justify the expense? It's hard to believe since they seem to spare no expense when they build the hotels.

The hotel parking lot of the Imperial Palace ( now Linc) has always been in a natural flood channel. Journalists have speculated on who got paid off to approve that zoning. People’s cars have been washed away there, and I think someone died years ago being washed away.

Just long exposure. I need to get a set of filters for this lens.

You should look into selling some of your photos. They are that good.

Between the extra water I'm giving the tree out front, that wonderful rain, and the Miracle Gro it is coming back. I fail to understand why the irrigation thingies are are by the trunk of the trees. I added a "ring" out by the drip line and once a week (not this week though) I run it an extra hour. I honestly thought we were going to lose it. The others around us looked great, and ours was yellowing, the leaves had that "dry" look, and they were dropping at an alarming rate.

A question. How much fertilizer does a palm require? The rest of the plants are no-brainers, but I have never had palms.
