just ordered some tires on ebay as there are some great promotions on right now as well as manufacturer rebates on top of that so i was wondering where i would get them installed locally

i understand walmart charges about $17/tire including disposal of the old tire, i pretty much just want to pay as little as possible

The Discount Tire stores were about $16 per tire last month.

I paid $40 to have 4 tires mounted and balanced. I went to Discount Tire on Boulder Hwy and told the manager that is what I had to pay.

I'm getting in on the same eBay deal you're talking about so I'll be interested to see the responses.

I looked at the installers on TireRack, posted prices are around $15-$18/tire (depending on the profile of the tire, lower is more) plus $2.50 disposal fee, $2.00 valve stem, and $5.00 TPMS rebuild (assuming you have TPMS) all per tire.

Is it that much of a saving to go thru all of that? I saw an ad on TV saying the company will five a $70 gift card if you buy 4 tires. Also why not go to the tire store before you buy on line and see if the store will match the price. Doesn't Wal-Mart price match?

DTD has a $100 off coupon on ebay which you can stack manufacturer rebates, and you don't pay for tax or shipping... so if you can get a store to price match that, then you're golden.... so the question you have to ask is, am I willing to '"go thru all of that" just to get a price match?

Reason why I bought on ebay is that I am not, and I also had a bunch of ebay gift cards to burn which I paid at least 10% off

Ordered yesterday at 4.34pm, they just arrived... ups guy was telling me that i should have just printed out the ebay quote and local discount tire always price match total price including the taxes... so that's probably the best way to do it for most people

i will be heading to walmart shortly to get them installed it's $17/tire but that includes balancing and lifetime rotation
